It's time to begin the selection process for the 2025-2026 Wilson County Schools Principal of the Year. The Principal of the Year will be selected this spring, and the winner will be announced at the end of the 2024-2025 school year. Anyone in the community can make a nomination.
Students in grades 3-12 will take the Panorama Survey beginning the week of Feb. 24. Families have the option to opt-out your student from taking the survey by completing an online form prior to Feb. 14.
The Wilson County Board of Education meets Mon., Jan. 27 at 6:30 p.m. at Central Office for its regular monthly meeting.

Schools and offices will be closed for all students and staff on Thurs., Jan. 23 because of icy conditions on many secondary roads throughout the county and the expected refreezing overnight.
Based on the latest weather forecast from the National Weather Service and guidance from Wilson County Emergency Management, schools and offices will be closed Wed., Jan. 22 for all students and staff across the district, including Central Office.
Wilson County Schools will operate on a regular schedule for Tues., Jan. 21 during the school day. However, all afterschool activities and athletics are canceled. Also, the Afterschool Care Program will not operate.
WCS is now accepting Spanish Immersion applications for the 2025-2026 school year for incoming kindergartners.
